The Resilience of Humanity: Justice and Balance in History

- History will justify the righteous
This summer has been exceptionally favourable for heroes, while villains have faced a difficult time. Memorials are rarely built for villains; regardless of their power or duration of rule, their legacies are often shrouded in shame and disgrace. History has a way of correcting the wrongs it has inflicted on society. Snooper is in a particularly cheerful mood this morning, but let’s not rush ahead.
It’s said that when Moshe Dayan, the iconic one-eyed Israeli general and war hero, was pulled over for speeding, he looked at the officer and quipped, “Sir, I have only one eye; which one should I focus on, the road or the speedometer?”
He received a lenient response. At any given moment, no individual can fully grasp the intricate twists and turns of history. No matter how observant or attentive a person may be, they cannot perceive the entirety of events unfolding around them. We all view the grand narratives of existence through a limited lens.
Just when you might lose hope in history and humanity, something occurs that rekindles your belief in the goodness of people and reinforces the notion that, in the end, evil will not prevail over good. Here’s a thought that has been posed before: is there something inherently rational about human nature that enables societies to correct themselves, no matter how long it takes?
While nations may imprison, exile, and even kill their true heroes and heroines, allowing villains to flourish, justice and equilibrium are ultimately restored over time. Injustice may fill the void, but nature has a way of seeking balance.

HISTORY WILL VINDICATE THE JUST.
